Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector

I discovered about this product from – who else – Ingrid.  I’m regularly on the search for miracle products to cancel out my dark under eye circles. The Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector sounded like it might in shape the bill:

I gotten this during Hauluary, at $35 for 4.5g pot. Becca is sold at Sephora as well as choose Hudson’s Bay stores – I gotten mine from Hudson’s Bay.

I was skeptical when I very first started researching this product. I’d read great deals of rave evaluations on it but what truly pushed me over the edge was the best score it got from Paula’s Choice. Becca explains this product as:

This color correcting, under eye brightener works to eradicate under eye darkness by brightening as well as evening skin tone. It preps skin for smooth, even concealer protection as well as doesn’t clear up into fine lines or wrinkles. Infused with ultra-fine light-reflecting illuminators, this rich, luminescent cream is like backlighting for your concealer, adding light from behind.

All I’m going to state is: indeed YES YES! It does what it declares to do! It’s still shocking to me when a product really does that!

It’s a light salmon-toned cream concealer that acts as both a corrector as well as a primer for my under eye area.  This corrector only is available in one shade.

With the addition of this product, I’ve been able to make a great deal of my “meh” concealers work so much much better for the under eye area. considering that starting to utilize this corrector, I’ve been consistently utilizing it (probably must have selected this for my job focus 10, huh!) and this is what the pot appears like now – look at exactly how much I’ve used!

To apply this, I pat it on utilizing my sound finger. I like utilizing my fingers than a clean considering that the warmth of my fingers assist to melt the product into my skin better.  I apply a thin layer of the corrector over my typical eye cream – then I apply whichever concealer on top as well as blend.  I’ve not discovered an under eye corrector to work in addition to this!  If the Surratt eye lash curler was the very best purchase of 2016 so far, this complies with carefully behind that.

Here are some comparisons of other peachy toned correctors (these 2 were “purged” however I retained them for swatching / comparison functions ):
L to R:
• Bobbi brown Corrector in Light Bisque
• Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector
• Coastal Scents bright Eyed in Light

I believe what makes the Becca work best for me is its milky high quality – it lends a highlighted high quality to the under eye area. The formula is also creamier so it doesn’t make the under eye area look dry or crepey.

Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Polybutene, Rhus Succedanea Fruit Wax, Kaolin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Barium Sulfate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Squalane, Zinc Chloride, Aluminum Hydroxide, Trihydroxystearin, Hydrogenated Polycyclopentadiene, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Sodium Lauroyl Aspartatel, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol. may Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

In terms of packaging format, the pot serves its function – I’m not sure if this product might work in a stick format, which would be preferable.

Despite Becca being an Australian company, this product is made in the USA.

Pros:
• Creamy without being greasy
• Does not crease
• High pigment
• Brightening impact without shimmer
• Smoothing effect

Cons:
• only offered in one shade*
• Pricey

Stash worthiness: 9/10

* I observed that Becca has just recently released a range of corrector colours called Backlight Targeted Colour Correctors:

They’re not called under eye products – I’m not sure exactly how the formulas differ – but the peach as well as orange shades would be great for darker skin tones.

Have you tried a colour corrector before? What’s your favourite?

Also, I would like to desire my sibling a extremely delighted birthday today!
